Tame Impala Invades Homes Everywhere: Review (Kinda)
Today is a day for rejoicing for I have found the best band and album of the year. Tame Impala has been tearing up the internet's eardrums and I'm loving every second of it. The psychedelia-infused-better-than-MGMT Tame Impala a.k.a. "The Other T.I." hails from Australia and their sound is what you get when you cross John Lennon, Animal Collective, heavy solid beats, The Doors, and song structure (sorry Animal Collective). Seriously, the best thing about T.I. is that they do their trippy thing but instead of wallowing in it and overindulging they keep the pace pounding and the energy high. If you haven't done so already you NEED to check them out. They just played a show with MGMT and are currently on tour. Their debut LP InnerSpeaker is in stores and online now.
Here's a video of them playing my personal favorite Alter Ego:
And here's their song Vital Signs:

Amoeba Records, Eli Roth, and People Under the Stairs
Alright, listen. First, if you live in the greater Los Angeles area and you haven't been to Amoeba Records, just do us all a favor and end it. Ok. You live in Alaska? I'm sorry. But then check this out:
It's their YouTube account. Okay I was watching a slew of these videos "What's in My Bag?" Eli Roth, People Under the Stairs, The Black Keys, Mike Schank (aka God from American Movie), Demetri Martin, Ben Stiller. They're all talking about what they bought at meeb's. So I'll save you the trouble of watching all of these and post the things I found tizzy and swizzy.
